This is a picture of 's character Summersnow Lazeros for her competition. Basically you draw her character in its Husky, Raccoon dog or Demon dragon form.
I chose to do it in her husky form, and borrowed the wings from the heavenly canine form because i loved them. I wanted to do her in a sad, contemplative mood because i think she would have moments of despair when thinking of the demon which is lurking inside her.
I also threw in a sketch of the face of her raccoon dog form, because i really love the idea of that character. I decided to do it happy as raccons are cute and comical in real life, and i'd like to think this would be the form that SummerSnow Lazeros would be having the most fun in.
I used a sheet of textured blue paper which i thought would look good, but my god it was a bugger to work with. Firstly because of the texture, it made linework impossible, then i had to use stacks of colour to fill in the dips and crags of it, and then because its blue it ended up making the white look...less than white.
The character seems to be almost pure white, but I threw in the other colours for the shading.
So yuh, this is my entry, fingers crossed XsarahX
p.s. the scanners eaten a lot of the detail :s
micron pens: 02, 05 Prismacolor pencils White paint time: about 7 hours i recon, maybe more
